Sophia’s Cleaning Service combines quality, reliability, and honest value. If you are not completely satisfied with your cleaning, we will return to make it right free of charge or adjust your credit. No questions asked.

How much does Sophia’s Cleaning Service charge?

Our average rate works out to about $52 per hour, compared to $72 to $94 per hour at national franchises like Molly Maid and The Cleaning Authority in the same western suburbs area. That’s 30 to 45% less for the same (or better) quality, with the same dedicated cleaner every visit.

Every quote is a flat rate based on your home’s size, condition, and the type of cleaning you need. We don’t bill by the hour, so there are no surprises on your invoice. Decades of cleaning data from thousands of homes per year powers our quoting accuracy. Sophia’s has likely cleaned your home or one just like it in your neighborhood.

Most services start at 4 hours, but we offer 3-hour single cleaner options for smaller apartments and spaces. For clients in or near our core service area, we can also work with simpler cleaning budgets.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

No. We bring everything, including HEPA vacuums, color-coded microfiber cloths, and our own cleaning products. Green cleaning supplies are available upon request at no extra cost. Our team holds the IJCSA Master Green Cleaning certification, the highest level in the program.

Before your first clean, we ask about allergies and sensitivities (including food-based allergies, since some cleaning products contain ingredients like peanut oil) and document your preferences on a permanent checklist. If you prefer a specific product for certain surfaces, we are happy to use it at no extra cost.

Is there a difference in cost between regular and deep cleaning?

Yes. Deep cleaning is more thorough and takes longer than a standard maintenance visit, so it costs more. We recommend a deep clean for any home that has not been professionally cleaned within a month or longer.

Deep cleans may include items like cleaning inside appliances, washing baseboards, and detailed scrubbing of kitchens and bathrooms. Move-in and move-out cleanings also fall into this category and are priced as deep cleans.

Can I reschedule my cleaning?

Of course. We send two reminders before every visit: an email 3 days before and a text 24 hours before, so you always know when your cleaning is coming. If plans change, the email 3 days before gives you time to reschedule at no cost.

Within 48 hours, there is a $100 rescheduling fee. Within 24 hours, the full visit rate applies. The fee compensates your cleaner for lost wages from the missed visit. Any remaining amount goes to local charities and cancer research through our Cleaning for a Cause initiative.

For real emergencies, we have a grace period and often waive or credit the fee. The policy keeps schedules reliable for every client on the route, and it is a big reason our cleaners stay with us for decades. That means the same trusted person cleaning your home year after year.

What payment methods do you accept?

Most clients pay by credit card through our secure online client portal. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. You can set up autopay so your cleaning is billed automatically after each visit, including tips if you choose to add them. Your cleaner keeps 100% of every tip.

For recurring commercial cleaning customers, we also accept Zelle, QuickPay, ACH payments, and invoiced payments by check.

Do you charge by the hour or a flat rate?

Flat rate. Every quote is based on your home’s size, layout, and the type of cleaning you need. You get an exact price before we start, and that is what you pay. No hourly billing, no meter running, no surprises.

Our flat rates are powered by decades of data from cleaning thousands of homes per year across the western suburbs. If actual conditions differ from what you described over the phone (for example, a home that has not been cleaned in over a year when you mentioned monthly cleanings), we will discuss any adjustment with you before proceeding. That is the only scenario where pricing changes.

Are there hidden fees or long-term contracts?

Neither. There are no membership fees, no sign-up costs, no cancellation penalties for ending recurring service, and no minimum commitment. You can pause or stop at any time.

The only additional fee is the rescheduling fee described above, and that only applies if you reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment. Everything else is included in your flat-rate quote.
